Laser hair removal offers permanent results. Below are some frequently asked
questions:
What systems do you use for laser hair removal?
The IPL hair removal system. This is a non-invasive light therapy device
specifically designed to eliminate undesired hair from all parts of the body.
How does IPL remove hair?
Intense pulsed light is used to remove hair and impair hair growth. A cool gel
and a hand held treatment unit are gently applied to the skin. Then, in a flash,
pulses of light safely penetrate the skin and disable hundreds of hair follicles
simultaneously.
Can all hair colours be removed?
Laser hair removal is more successful, darker hair than blonde. Hair colour and
texture are significant factors. Locations on the body can also determine the
success of this procedure.
What areas can be treated?
All parts of the body including chin, upper lip, cheeks, legs, arms, underarms,
chest, back and bikini area can be treated.
How does it feel?
When IPL is delivered to the hair, you may feel a mild sting or pinch
similar to the snap of a rubber band. No local anaesthesia or pain medication
is required.
How may treatments are required?
This varies according to the area being treated, hair colour and texture. Several
treatments may be needed, each usually lasting 10 - 30 minutes.
What are the benefits
Most people see substantial reduction of unwanted hair within 4 to 6 treatments.
Very few see any benefit before this amount
of treatments for hair removal and very few people do not respond.
Are there any restrictions on my activities after treatment?
You can return to work the same day.
